Saathi is a WhatsApp-based habit companion operated by Dugmates ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how it's handled, and your rights. We've kept it short and honest.

In one line: we use what you share only to coach you on your chosen habit, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything anytime.

1. What we collect

Your WhatsApp number and profile name.
The messages you send us — text, voice notes, and photos.
The habit details you choose to share (your goal, routines, and what you log).
Basic usage metadata (timestamps, message counts) to run the service.

2. Why we use it (purpose)

To provide the coaching service — reply to you, remember your context, and send the check-ins you signed up for.
To improve and keep the service reliable and safe.

We rely on your consent (given when you start chatting with Saathi) as the basis for processing. You can withdraw it anytime by asking us to delete your data.

3. Who processes your data

To run Saathi we use trusted service providers, who process data on our behalf:

Meta / WhatsApp — delivers the messages between you and Saathi.
Anthropic — the AI that generates Saathi's replies. Your messages are sent to it to produce a response.
Our hosting/database — stores your account and history so Saathi can remember you.

We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active so Saathi can remember you. When you delete your account, we erase your messages, events, and profile from our database.

5. Your rights

Delete: message "delete my data" in the chat, or email us — we erase your account and history.
Access / correct: request a copy or correction of your data by email.
Withdraw consent / pause: tell Saathi to pause or stop anytime.

6. Security

Data is sent over secured (HTTPS/TLS) connections and stored in access-controlled systems. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. (Note: messages to a business assistant like Saathi are not end-to-end encrypted to us — we and our AI provider can read them in order to reply.)

7. Children

Saathi is intended for adults (18+). It is not designed for, or directed at, children.

8. Not a medical service

Saathi is a habit companion, not a medical, mental-health, or financial service, and not a substitute for professional advice. If you are in distress, please contact a professional or a helpline such as KIRAN (1800-599-0019) or Tele-MANAS (14416).

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we'll change the "last updated" date above. Continued use means you accept the current version.
